Hey! It’s been a while hasn’t it?
(little disclaimer here, I have no idea where my memory card for my camera is (I had a recipe I had taken pictures for on it!!) so I apologize for the lack of photos).
Since this post will be a rambly one, I thought I might as well jump on over to Amanda’s link up!
To start things off, I feel so disconnected from my fellow bloggers right now, I feel like it has been almost 2 weeks since I even opened up someone else’s blog to read one of their posts.
Sitting down at my computer, coffee and pancake at my disposal, I feel like I am catching up with friends through reading their blogs, and it’s feeling good.
Last week kind of sucked, I mean in the grand scheme of things, maybe it didn’t suck, but for me, it was tough.
I had a lot of school things to do as well as not one, but TWO clinical nutrition exams on Thursday and Friday. By the time I finished my exam on Thursday, I spent all night cramming for Friday’s exam. I was barely sleeping and honestly, barely eating.
Friday’s exam WHOOPED my butt. I never got out of an exam feeling so confused, I’m usually not too bad at taking exams, but this one was just a little tougher than I anticipated. Turns out I got a great mark on it, but the teacher gave us a tooooon of bonus marks.
The weekend was jam packed too, because I had a quiz and presentation on Monday, so I needed to get that out of the way over the weekend, on top of working.
Then, on Monday evening, something amazing happened…. I had nothing to do.
And guys, I’ve been bathing in this glorious nothingness. I really do mean it when I say I haven’t been doing much. When I got home this week, I never even thought of touching my laptop. I read, I took a bath (which never ever happens), watched TV with my parents, made cookies and cleaaaaaned (James’ appartment needed some TLC).
I just feel so happy and renewed right now… It’s the little things in life, am I right?
Here are some photos/recipes I thought I’d share!
This one makes me laugh mainly because I am not too sure what a toque is but apparently we wear that here. The list is just kind of funny and totally accurate.
Guys… This is the best bowl I have ever made. The peanut sauce is out of this world, plus roasting the broccoli adds such a nice flavor!
The best mug cake I have ever made, hands DOWN! Go make it now, I don’t even care if it’s breakfast where you are, EAT THIS FOR BREAKFAST IF YOU HAVE TO.
Just a tad late, but thought I would share our Halloween costumes! We were a zombie Pacman crew, and all costumes were made by my sister!
Hopefully by next week I will have my memory card back and we can get right back into the swing of things.
Have a great day :).
