Howdy all! (I am now a cowboy?! Do Cowboys say howdy? I don’t even know anymore)
I have been seeing a lot of bloggers making little lists of what they want to do over the break, and seeing these lists brought on this inner sense of panic. I realized that I only have 15 days of vacation and a lot of things I want to do, and a list was therefore mandatory in helping me maximize this Christmas break!! I must warn you all that I am a wee bit tired and slightly delirious from finals and lack of sleep, so forgive me for the possible weird ramblings that will most likely take place in this post!
The first thing I will need, ASAP, as soon as I walk out of that exam room on Tuesday is a fancy pancy cocktail. Okay, so I probably will not do that as soon as I walk out of the exam because I do need to drive myself home, but you best believe that I will be visiting my favorite bar of all time that night (La Distillerie I am talking to you).
I will also be wearing this shirt every single day until Christmas as of the last day of my exam. Oh yes, you best believe I will be wearing my Christmas sweater to my last exam! I truly think it will help me succeed, don’t you?
I also want to pay a visit to this Christmas market over the break in Montreal’s Old Port. I really hope it will happen, but since I will be working almost every single day the moment school is out, it might be a bit difficult. James, if you are reading this, can you please take me to this?!? 🙂On December 23rd we have a rendez-vous at my sister’s apartment for a night of Christmas movies! This will make it possible for me to watch some Christmas movies before it is too late, which is definitely something I want to do over the break! I am sure my sister will prepare some goodies for us to watch the movies with, so I can’t wait! (There is a possibility that she was not planning on making anything and after reading this she will feel like she has to, ha!)
James will be leaving for Oklahoma from December 27-31st to see his family (fun fact, James is from Oklahoma!), so I want to take this time to have a date with my mom! We plan on visiting our favorite restaurant, La Perle Noire, which is a vietnamese restaurant, and most probably go see a movie!
I am also organizing an ugly Christmas sweater themed potluck and cannot wait to see all my friends! We don’t get to see each other nearly enough during the school year.
Last but not least, I plan on baking and cooking every single day. Finals have taken away my time to make yummy breakfasts and awesome snacks, and I will have to fix this problem ASAP. Here are some of the things I want to make:
Raw Gingerbread Cookies by The Hungry Maven
1-Bowl Greek Yogurt Banana Bread by Cookies n Chem
I have been wanting to make this for a while, I need to make it happen over the break!
Dark Cocoa Espresso Banana Muffins by Jack’s Balancing Act
Loaded Sweet Potato Skins By Sally’s Baking Addiction
I simply need these sweet potato skins in my life.
I will finish off this post with a picture of this waterfall taken two years ago at my family’s cottage, just to show you how BEAUTIFUL the snow is up here in Canada and why I miss it so much (snow, where are you?).
Hope you all have a great weekend!
What is your #1 thing you want to accomplish over the Christmas holidays?
