Hello everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend!
I’ve been seeing a healthy living survey floating around on a few blogs, and after seeing them a couple times, I thought it was time for me to join in! I’ve realized that I might not talk about what I eat on a daily basis that often, so this might be a good way to catch a little glimpse of what I eat (If you are curious). This is also a fun blog post to do, I am excited to answer and share these questions with all of you! Let’s do this!
What did you eat for breakfast today?
I was working today so I knew I needed a big breakfast to tie me over until my first break. I had two toasts and an egg, with coffee of course. When I eat eggs in the morning, it’s most often because I’m wanting to stay full for longer! I sadly did not take a picture of my breakfast, but it was nothing too exciting.
How much water do you drink each day?
Never nearly enough. I have this beautiful water bottle that I love using, but I very often forget to bring it along with me during the day. If I forget to bring my water bottle, my only source of hydration is coffee (besides of course the water I am getting from foods). If I do remember to bring this water bottle with me, I will refill it at least once during the day.
What is your current favorite work out?
Lately, I have been loving the T25 videos from Shawn T. They are only 25 minutes and leave me super sore, I love it because I get to sneak in intense workouts that don’t take too much of my time.
How many calories do you eat each day?
I really don’t have the slightest clue!
What are your favorite healthy snacks?
Snacks are seriously my favorite! Here are some of my go-to snacks:
- anything with hummus
- anything that has cocoa aka chocolate baked anything (wait, is that still considered healthy?)
- chia muffins
- cottage cheese with apples
- Crackers and cheese (I have been really loving this snack lately)
What do you usually eat for lunch?
Depending on what we have in the fridge, I usually have soup or leftovers. I also love having salads for lunch, with a bunch of veggies and hemp seeds. I weirdly can not recall my lunches lately, but I just typically have what I mentioned above, I don’t vary my lunches that much!
What is your favorite body part to train?
I find leg workouts always tend to hurt more the next day and give me a sense of accomplishment since they amp up the sweatiness factor. I like working out and feeling that a part of my body worked really hard!
What is your least favorite body part to train?
Most probably upper body, since I feel like I lack exercises to do in order to appropriately train my arms and shoulders and all that. T25 has been helping with that though!
What are your “bad” food cravings?
As long as my diet is balanced, I don’t see how any of my cravings are bad! I always have sweet cravings, always. I guess that answers the question?
Do you take daily vitamins or supplements?
How often do you eat out?
Although I have weeks where I don’t eat out, I’ll say I go out once a week on average.
Do you eat fast food?
If I go out to eat, it is typically at sit down restaurants. This doesn’t mean that it is a healthier choice, but I am not sure if this falls into the fast food category. I don’t often eat fast food on the go, I never find it satisfying! But actually, come to think of it, I really do enjoy the occasional Lebanese fast food, especially Shawarma!
Who is your biggest supporter?
I’d have to say my family, especially my mom, as well as my boyfriend, James. I would put up a picture of my mom and I, but I don’t think she would be very happy with me if I put a picture of her on here (she doesn’t exactly like having pictures of herself on the internet!) My family and boyfriend are the people who know me best and support me with anything! They also won’t hold back with constructive criticism, which is great. I would have loved to put a picture of my sister here, but we just have no good pictures together, we will have to fix that!
Do you have a gym membership?
Free gym at school, so no!!
How many hours of sleep do you get each night?
I would say it varies between 6-8 hours, which is good enough! I have a feeling with finals approaching that it might shorten a tad.
Do you drink alcohol?
Yep, my family has big suppers every weekend and I love to sometimes enjoy a beer before supper and a glass of wine during the meal. I typically drink beer or wine, but I also like the fancy cocktail here and there.
Do you have a workout buddy?
I think I am very lucky to say that I have many! At school, I usually go to the gym with my friends. If I am going to the gym at James’ apartment, he will usually come with me. For T25, I am on my own though!
What’s the best thing that’s changed about your life since committing to a healthy lifestyle?
The best thing is probably how my cravings have changed. Although I mentioned having sugar cravings, I feel like can satisfy them in a much healthier way then I used to. I think I used to not really understand what my body needed, and I would have a lot of unhealthy snacks to compensate. Now that I am more in tune with what my body wants, I can manage cravings a lot better! I also don’t have as much dessert after supper as I used to, which was not the case a couple of years ago!
What’s the last healthy thing you did?
Since I spent my whole day sitting on a chair at work and now I am spending my night blogging and studying, there isn’t much movement in my day. However, we started a new thing at work to get up and stretch with everyone at least once a day, so maybe that counts? I am also about to leave to go study at the school library, so the walk there will be my workout ;).
I hope you all enjoyed this post! Have a great week everyone!
Now, since we should all share with each other what we love to eat, I’ll ask you: what are your “bad” food cravings? (aka your favorite things to eat!?)
