It’s 7:30pm on a sunday and here I am in Starbucks doing a blog post. What am I drinking you ask? A pumpkin spice latte, I have no shame. Should I be doing homework instead? Probably, but oh well, let’s do this!
This recipe is from the Thug Kitchen Cookbook, and omg is it ever good. Old fashioned oats and quinoa make a perfect mix. Top it with maple syrup and blueberries and you’ve got yourself an amazingly filling and delicious breakfast. I made a big batch of it and had it for over half the week, yay for breakfast ready in advance!
I unfortunately don’t have a picture of this wonderful vegetable basket I got from the farm at Mcgill, but I sure got my money’s worth. For 20$, I got tomatoes, potatoes, apples, eggplant, spaghetti squash, carrots, garlic, organic bread, plums, corns and even chocolate milk! It was really quite exciting.
This song (sent by the heavens, I swear)
This is a live version of an already beautiful song. With the added marching band, playing violins and trumpets, I get chills every. single. time.
I think I can safely say that for us living in Montreal, today was the first day of fall. The warm weather was pushed aside so quickly, and we’ve transitioned to colder sweater weather. This meant it was a perfect day to go hiking. My friend and I climbed a mountain for about an hour and a half and we’re rewarded with an amazing view. On our way back down however, we took a wrong turn and ended being about 12 kilometers away from where I had parked my car. We had the choice to walk back which would have taken over 2 hours or call a taxi. So we called a taxi, 35$ later, we made it back to my car. Oh well, it was still a great day!
Okay, yes, I know, I’m oh so very typical. I don’t care, this drink is amazing!!! While I’m writing this blog post, I’m enjoying every single sip. However, I drank it a little too slowly and went to ask the Starbucks workers to reheat it, and what did they do?! They gave me a whole other one… for FREE. Best sunday ever? yes. Oh yes.
I think I’ll have to wrap that up here, since I guess I should try to do homework.. We will see how that goes.
Have a great week! 🙂
